Local Tips for the Newcastle to Hunter Valley Drive

Book a tour or driver — the Pokolbin vineyard area has active RBT operations on weekends. Fuel is always cheapest in Cessnock or Maitland, never at cellar door locations. Most cellar doors are closed Mondays and Tuesdays. If visiting the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights, go midweek — weekends are packed.
